    I would like to share with you some deeply moving statistics from The Children’s Society today. Sometimes, when we talk about “wellbeing,” it can feel like a buzzword—but these numbers show exactly why our mission at Your Love Rara is so vital. 🕊️

    Did you know that right now, 1 in 6 children aged 5-16 are likely to have a mental health condition? To put that into perspective, that is an average of five children in every single classroom. 🎒

    The “Why” behind the magic:

    • The Early Years Matter: 50% of all mental health problems start by the age of 14. This is why we focus so heavily on early intervention and sensory play. We aren’t just playing; we are building foundations before the cracks appear. 🧱💖
    • The Happiness Gap: Happiness levels are at a 10-year low. Our “Good Childhood” research shows kids are most unhappy with school and their appearance—pressures that feel heavier than ever in this digital age. 📱📉
    • The Waiting Game: Shockingly, 34% of young people referred to NHS services are not accepted into treatment. They are being told they aren’t “unwell enough” yet. 🚫

    This is where Your Love Rara steps in.

    We don’t believe children should have to reach a crisis point to get support. Our Hub is a “No Waiting List” zone. When a child walks through our doors for a messy play session, a character visit, or a Saltire Award volunteering shift, they are getting autonomy, competence, and connection—the three pillars of true wellbeing. 🌟

    Every time you book a party, attend a Bingo night, or donate, you are helping us fight these statistics. You are ensuring that those 5 children in the classroom have a safe space to go where they are seen for their sparkle, not their struggle. ✨

    A New Chapter for Your Love Rara: We’re Moving!

    Same Magic, New Postcode: Your Love Rara is Moving!

    Exciting news for Your Love Rara 💛

    We have been given a lifeline.

    Thanks to the incredible support of Innoflate Aberdeen, Your Love Rara has secured a new space — allowing us to continue supporting over 600 children, young people and families across our community.

    After months of challenges, including severe flooding and disruption to our previous premises, this opportunity has come at a time when we truly needed it most.

    As Founder and Managing Director, I can honestly say — this has given us hope.

    “After everything we’ve faced, being offered a new space has given us the chance to keep going. We are incredibly grateful to Innoflate for believing in us and our work.”

    However, in the spirit of transparency — the building is currently an empty shell.

    To bring it back to life as a safe, warm and welcoming community hub, we are now calling on our wider network for support.

    We are currently seeking:

    • Skip hire / waste removal

    • Electricians & heating engineers

    • Plumbers (including damp checks)

    • Painters & decorators

    • Movers, vans and transport support

    • Volunteers for clearing, cleaning and setup

    This is more than a move — it’s an opportunity to rebuild a vital community space together.
