A message from zara, founder
“Your Love Rara started with £50, a fairy dress I stitched myself, and a hope that no child would ever feel alone, unseen, or without a safe place to turn.
Today, we are a family of volunteers, parents, partners and young people who make sure every child knows they matter.
Thank you for being part of our story”

Got Questions?
We Got Answers
Your Love Rara is a registered charity creating safe, creative, and inclusive spaces for children, young people, and families. We use play, creativity, and community connection to support confidence, wellbeing, and belonging — while also offering meaningful volunteering and skill-building opportunities.
No — although fun is a big part of what we do.
Play is our tool, not the outcome. Everything we deliver is designed to support emotional wellbeing, confidence, inclusion, and positive relationships. Behind the scenes there is safeguarding, training, structure, and care — all wrapped in joy.
Yes. We are a registered Scottish charity.
Any income from bookings, events, or activities is reinvested directly back into our community programmes, sessions, and support for children, young people, and families.
If you’re asking that question, the answer is usually yes.
We support children who:
- Feel anxious or lack confidence
- Have additional needs or big emotions
- Don’t always thrive in traditional settings
- Need a gentle, welcoming space to be themselves
Children do not need a diagnosis to belong here..
We support:
- Under-5s and families
- Primary-age children
- Teenagers and young adults
- Parents, carers, and volunteers
Many people stay with us for years as they grow and change.
Both — with intention.
Sessions are carefully planned but flexible, allowing children to explore, express themselves, and engage at their own pace. It’s warm and welcoming, but never chaotic.
Yes. Inclusion is central to everything we do.
We welcome children and young people with additional needs and adapt our sessions to support different abilities, communication styles, and sensory needs wherever possible.
You can:
- Attend sessions or events
- Book parties or experiences
- Volunteer your time
- Donate or fundraise
- Share our work with others
Every bit of support helps create positive, lasting impact.
No. There is no pressure to commit long-term.
Some families come once, some come regularly, and some dip in and out depending on life. All are welcome.
Donations help us:
- Keep sessions affordable
- Support children from low-income households
- Run community programmes and holiday activities
- Train and support volunteers
- Maintain safe, welcoming spaces
Everything stays local and community-focused.
Our volunteers include:
- Teenagers and young people building confidence and skills
- Parents and carers
- Students and career-changers
- People who want to give back in a meaningful way
All volunteers are supported, trained, and valued.
Completely.
Most volunteers worry about:
- Getting it wrong
- Not having enough experience
- Being overwhelmed
We support you every step of the way. You don’t need to be perfect — just kind, willing, and open to learning.
In many cases, yes.
