Our Journey
From a fairy costume to a thriving charity — the story of how imagination, resilience and community shaped Your Love Rara.
2004
A journey begins in adversity
At 16 Zara faced homelessness; by 19 she’d moved from Australia to Scotland. Her journey shaped her motto: You can be anything you want – if you put your mind to it

2013
Love Rara ltd is born
Zara founded Love Rara Ltd — a creative events company born from her vision to deliver bespoke children’s entertainment across the North East of Scotland

2019
580 events, 17 Staff. Pure magic
Seeing a gap in the market, Zara brought her imagination to life, creating unforgettable Magical Experiences. By 2019, Love Rara had 17 staff and delivered over 580 annual events.

2020
Love Rara Kidz launches
A sister company using drama and swimming to build confidence in young children. The programme quickly grew, supporting over 120 participant.

COVID
Pausing to find the “why”
When the pandemic hit, Zara paused. “What is my why?” The answer: creating an inclusive, creative space where everyone feels supported, celebrated and free to be themselves

2021
Your Love Rara CIC is created
Created to support children’s wellbeing, mentor young creatives and deliver magical experiences for vulnerable families. Zara’s belief remains simple: ‘Impossible’ means ‘I’m possible.’.

2024
Registered Charity SCIO
Your Love Rara became a registered charity SCIO, strengthening its mission and creating a sustainable charity dedicated to supporting children’s wellbeing, creativity and community across the North East of Scotland.

2026
Showing up, every single day
Funding is hard. Recognition takes time. But Your Love Rara kept going — opening its doors, running its café, hosting fundraising and community events to keep the magic alive.
2026 marks a new chapter: a crisper identity, a renovated digital home for our community, and stronger processes — built not from a grant, but from grit, community and love.
